Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a long-term neuro-degenerative disease. Every week, 200 individuals are diagnosed with MS. If you have just been diagnosed, here are some ways that you can help cope.
Take things one step at a time! One day, one task, moment by moment.2
Don’t focus on negatives! Do your research. Take your time. Know what could happen and understand the symptoms.3
Verbalize how you are feeling! Keeping things bottled up only hurts. Don’t be afraid to speak out.4
Relax. If you can, take a walk. Yoga helps. Take a swim at the pool, talk to friends—whatever it takes to relax!5
Don’t forget to have fun! Pick a day and go to Disney, no matter how old you are! Just have fun! Laughter is key!
